Robin H. Pinchbeck
Non-Executive Chairman

Robin was appointed non-executive Chairman of Sparrows in 2008. Robin’s background in the international oil and oil services sectors brings valuable additional experience to the leadership team. Robin spent 23 years with BP in technical and general management roles in UK, Australia, USA and Middle East before moving to the service sector as managing director of Aberdeen-based Atlantic Power and Gas – a business which was ultimately purchased by Petrofac in 2002. A graduate of Imperial College, London and Stanford University, California; Robin also continues to serve as a member of the senior management team at Petrofac, as Group Director of Strategy and Corporate Development and also as Non-Exective Director at SLR Consulting Ltd.

Doug Sedge
Chief Executive Officer Aberdeen, Scotland

Doug began his career in the oil industry in 1975 and worked his way around the world and through the ranks gaining a wealth of experience in leadership and business development within the oil services contracting businesses. During his 35 year career, Doug has held significant senior roles at Dresser Industries, Dolphin Drilling and Weatherford Inc. where he ultimately held the position of Vice President for Europe Africa and the Former Soviet Union. Following that he went on to take over the position of Chief Executive Officer of the RBG Group (2005-2008) and latterly European Vice President at Canadian-owned, oilfield services company, Tesco Corporation. Doug joined Sparrows as CEO on November 1^st, 2009. His appointment brings new leadership to a group which has ambitious long-term growth plans.
